Short Biography Anubhav is a graduate student pursuing his Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He graduated from the University of Mumbai, India in Spring 2021 with a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering. His current research interests are in the analysis, design and optimization of electric powertrains for aircraft applications & wind turbines.

Short Biography Robin is a graduate student pursuing his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He graduated top of class from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim, Germany in Fall 2024 with a B. Eng. in Electrical Engineering - Electrical Power Engineering, while working for ABB. His current research interests are in electric machines, electromagnetism and cryogenic applications.
Anjana Samarakoon

Short Biography Anjana graduated from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2018 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. After graduation he joined the department of Electrical Engineering of University of Moratuwa as a Temporary Lecturer. He is a third-year graduate student at UIUC. His focused area is insulation reliability of electrical machines. Other research interests are renewable energy generation and storage.
Yaokun Shi

Short Biography Yaokun graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in spring of 2022 with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and psychology. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. with a research focus on low-field, handheld MRI systems, and machine learning based image reconstruction and post processing.

Short Biography Andrew graduated from the University of Virginia in 2025 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He is currently pursuing his M.S. with research interests in electric transportation, machines, and renewable energy applications.
Mudith Witharamalage

Short Biography Mudith is a graduate student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering UIUC, with research interests in electrical transportation, electromagnetism, and electrical machines. He enjoys working on multidisciplinary projects and values diverse collaborations. Prior to joining UIUC, he graduated from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2023 with a BSc in Electrical Engineering.
